WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our Advertising Sales Specialists connect local businesses with our audience. Your primary responsibility is to grow print and digital advertising sales by developing new client relationships and strengthening existing ones. By doing so, you’ll help local businesses thrive while making a positive impact on our state's fastest-growing and wealthiest demographic. This is a hands-on sales role that requires proactive prospecting—cold calling, networking and following up on leads—to identify new opportunities. You’ll consult with clients to understand their goals, negotiate terms and ensure campaigns run smoothly from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll address client needs, provide solutions and oversee the delivery of effective, results-driven advertising campaigns. Prior sales experience is a plus but not required—we provide training and ongoing support to help the right candidate succeed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and nurture lasting relationships by understanding advertising needs and providing tailored solutions
- Identify and pursue opportunities to showcase the value of our audience, products, and services
- Prepare and present advertising proposals that align with client objectives
- Partner with creative teams to ensure that advertising campaigns are executed seamlessly
- Maintain regular communication to monitor results and adjust campaigns as needed
- Use cold calling, networking, and outreach to develop new business opportunities
- Manage contracts and track opportunities through our cloud-based CRM software
- Meet or exceed sales goals while delivering high customer satisfaction
- Assist with advertiser-driven marketing, integrations, digital initiatives and promotions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- A competitive, results-driven attitude
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft 365
PAY RANGE:
$40,000-$70,000/year (expected pay with hourly plus commissions and bonuses)
HOURS PER WEEK:
Full Time (28-35 hours/week)PERKS & BENEFITS
