The Best of Times magazine receives 18 national awards at the 2023 NAMPA convention

The Best of Times, a free monthly magazine for mature adults in Northwest Louisiana, received eighteen (18) national awards, in a wide variety of design and editorial excellence categories, at the 2023 North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA) convention. 

“We are so honored to have the highly respected independent panel of faculty from the internationally acclaimed University of Missouri School of Journalism award our publication so many awards. We’re especially proud that this is the sixth consecutive year that The Best of Times has been awarded the prestigious Best of Show award in our division,” noted publisher Gary Calligas.

Editor Tina Calligas added, “These awards are a wonderful testament to the quality of our magazine and recognition of the hard work and dedication of our writers, contributors, and designers.
